Cst. Peter Schiemann was born on the 3rd of May1979 in Petrolia, Ontario. Peter was shot and killed on March 3, 2005, while on a routine investigation at Rochfort Bridge. 

Peter completed training at Depot on November 27, 2000, at which time he was engaged in the Force and was posted to "K" Division, Alberta at Mayerthorpe Detachment where he worked in General Policing and Highway Patrol.  Peter was extremely excited about his posting to "K" Division and his service with the RCMP held great promise.  He was a highly respected member of the Force and those around him appreciated his ability to boost spirits and help others deal with difficult and stressful times.  His colleagues say his optimism and his grin were his trademarks.  Those who went through training with him were impressed by his physical flexibility and affectionately called him "Gumby". 

Peter leaves behind, his parents Reverend Don and Beth, his sister Julia, and his brother Michael.
